The role involves teaching, clinical responsibilities, and leadership across clinical, education, and research missions, as well as mentoring faculty specializing in Neurocritical care.

Responsibilities
Designing curriculum for residents on the neurocritical care rotation and instruction of medical students, residents, and fellows rotating through the intensive care units
Provision of neurocritical care and general anesthesia at HUP and PPMC
Leadership of the Division of Neurocritical Care across all three missions: Clinical, Education, and Research
Accountability for productivity in all three areas and for positively impacting growth in each domain
Recruit, support, and mentor faculty specializing in Neurocritical care within the division
Participation and collaboration to improve patient care
Collaboration with other leaders in the Department, Service Line, Hospital, VA and Health System to improve the division
Qualification
Required
M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree
ABA certification in anesthesiology
Ability to obtain a Pennsylvania license
Prior leadership experience
Record of successful teaching/mentorship
Preferred
Fellowship training in neurocritical care
Extensive experience in neurocritical care
