Youth Program Manager

The Youth Program Manager will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of Our Club, ensuring high-quality programming and a supportive environment for youth.

Responsibilities

Hold overall vision and leadership of Our Club, and implement high quality programming and curriculum built on best practices in the field, innovation, and sharing of resources
Supervise, grow, and support a high-performing team of Youth Program Specialists and Program Coordinators to accomplish organizational and programmatic goals
Maintain a positive program environment that supports the social and emotional needs of youth in a trauma-informed way
Help the Our Club staff develop well-planned and enriching experiences for youth
Ensure that Our Club supplies are well-maintained, and that furniture and equipment are maintained, and that Our Club spaces are cleaned regularly
Develop and maintain policies and procedures for Our Club youth, families, and team members, and communicate those policies with clarity and consistency
Uphold the two-generation approach by incorporating parents and guardians into program planning and implementation
Ensure that Our Club follows licensing requirements, including youth to staff ratios, staff training requirements, and program documentation
Ensure effective systems to track program outcomes, including attendance, assessments, participant surveys, and report cards
Build relationships with community partners and volunteers who create engaging and unique programming opportunities for youth and families
Communicate regularly with local schools, school homeless liaisons, school transportation workers, counselors, and teachers to support a continuum of care between school and home for youth the program
Assist with student transportation by driving the Our House van to do school picks-ups, or other program-related transportation
Oversee the USDA food program that provides nutritious snacks and meals to youth
Work with the Development team to follow grant requirements, including reporting, maintaining files, data tracking, enrollment and attendance logs
Collaborate with other Our House programs—Bright Beginnings, Housing, Career Center, Mental Health, Stability Program—to provide holistic, wrap-around and coordinated services to families served by Our Club
Attend weekly Staffing Meetings and provide support to the Our Club team in responding to challenging client situations
Attend training, professional development, conferences and community meetings relating to out-of-school time programs
Create and find training opportunities for the Our Club team and ensure all professional development requirements are met and tracked
Serve as representative of Our Club and participate in fundraising events, tours, meetings with current or potential funders, thank you letters to supporters, assistance with grant proposals, identification of needs, and communication of relevant stories
Actively engage and energize Our House staff members, volunteers, partnering organizations, donors, and grant funders at Our House
Conduct other duties as assigned to fulfill Our House’s mission

Required

At least three years' experience working in a management position in a program or organization serving high risk children or youth
Ability to work effectively with diverse staff, parents, and community members
Ability to implement and supervise a positive learning environment while incorporating academic enrichment programming
Experience with conflict resolution and/or crisis management
Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills
Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to planning
Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
Bachelor's degree in a field related to elementary education; or a Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field and at least four years of experience; or an Associate's degree in a field related to elementary education and at least six years of experience
Must possess a valid driver's license and vehicle to use in performance of job. Position requires some travel within Central Arkansas
Must be able to pass criminal background checks, child and adult maltreatment registry checks, sex offender registry checks, and a pre-employment drug screen
Must be able to lift 30lbs
CPR / First Aid Certified within 90 days of employment
