The Associate Estimator role involves supporting the estimating team, preparing purchase orders, tracking job variances, and delivering accurate estimates for homes while contributing to organizational success.

Responsibilities
Facilitate clear interdepartmental communication
Respond to interdepartmental questions in a timely manner
Communicate any plan, pricing, or option inconsistencies to Management
Interact and communicate clearly with coworkers and vendors in a courteous, friendly manner
Work cooperatively with Sales and Production to address and resolve issues
Demonstrate strong active listening skills
Update Pre-Construction schedule and complete timely payments for corresponding activities
Track & ensure EPO Reviews & Releases are done per schedule
Notify Management of discrepancies in Pre-Construction schedules and documents
Support with data input as requested by Managers
Prepare weekly Check-In reports and reviews changes in assigned EPOs with Estimating Manager
Prepare & facilitates accurate & timely EPO Reviews & Releases with focus on SPECs and Entry Level Homes
Conduct thorough review of Purchase Orders
Ensure budgets are accurate with price updates
Track & review job variances related to EPOs
Review VPOs for assigned Closed Homes
Maintain a professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor as a representative of Esperanza Homes
Demonstrate strong product knowledge, including floor plans, included features, & Esperanza Homes standards
Approach unexpected challenges with calm confidence and a problem-solving mindset with consistent manager communication
Take initiative, apply feedback, and continuously grow in design knowledge and operational expertise
Qualification
Required
Strong ability to meet multiple deadlines
Experience with AutoCAD
Proficient with MS Excel; knowledge of estimating software
Preferred
Construction associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
Two to four years' related experience and/or training in the multi-family industry or equivalent combination of education
