Director of Scientific Engagement & Key Accounts
Certis Oncology Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced oncology discovery expert to develop business with key, targeted accounts. This role involves enhancing clients' discovery efforts through translational science discussions and research outsourcing, while also representing Certis’ science across a broader client base.
Responsibilities
Develop criteria for the identification and prioritization of Key Accounts
Complete a thorough analysis of selected/targeted Key Accounts and develop a Business Development 'playbook' for each Key Account, highlighting opportunities to serve, and a strategy for engagement compatible with Company goals
Execute/guide BD engagement with key accounts to solicit Key Account needs, plans, key relationships and opportunities for Certis engagement
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to assist Key Accounts with their needs, in line with corporate goals for key target account development
Responsible for building a strong Key Account pipeline and achieving set bookings targets
Support company Business Development (BD) goals to secure orders and deepen account penetration through technical expertise enabling the exchange of information for new opportunities between BD and the scientific team; generate, study designs and proposals to define projects/studies and associated prices
Periodic co-travel with BD (~25% of the time) and alone (~10% of the time) to various clients and potential clients to support scientific discussion of Companies services and capabilities
Represent, as required, Certis at relevant scientific and industry conferences, including preparation and delivery of oral presentations and/or poster presentations
Support the continued development of company based scientific marketing content
Provide feedback and guidance on new and current product development based on feedback from the field
Liase between Operations, Marketing and BD to coordinate the prioritization of needs for BD, and to assist in the optimization of the customer experience
Develop and maintain key business relationships across a broad sphere of influence, both internally and externally
Qualification
Required
A PhD in the required field of expertise is a prerequisite
Minimum 10 years' experience in laboratory or pharmaceutical industry in areas specifically relevant to Company services; must include a minimum of 5 years' working within the pharmaceutical or biotech industries in order to assure familiarity with customer needs and solutions
A solid publications track record that evidences depth of knowledge will be important
Masterful selling skills that result in strong, trusting customer relationships. Masterful negotiation experience with preferred background knowledge
Influential Teamwork – the ability to collaborate and conclude on priorities in the best interest of the business
