The Research & Development Intern will support R&D chemists and engineers in developing and testing composite materials, providing practical exposure to applied research and laboratory testing.

Responsibilities
Assist with laboratory testing, sample preparation, and material evaluations
Support product development and formulation improvement projects
Collect, record, and analyze test data to support technical conclusions
Help maintain laboratory equipment, materials, and documentation
Prepare or update technical reports, test summaries, and presentations
Collaborate with R&D, quality, production, and engineering teams
Learn about BMC/SMC materials, composite manufacturing, and material performance testing
Participate in safety training and adhere to laboratory and plant safety standards
Develop professional skills in data analysis, documentation, communication, and problem solving
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field
Interest in research, materials development, or laboratory-based work
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to follow safety procedures and work in a lab and plant environment
Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, email, etc.)
Preferred
Coursework or lab experience related to polymers, composites, or materials science
Previous internship, research, or technical project experience
Familiarity with lab equipment, testing methods, or data analysis
Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn
