dsm-firmenich is a global company that specializes in flavors, fragrances, and ingredients. They are seeking a Maintenance & Engineering Intern to engage with staff on the shop floor and assist in developing and modifying procedures, while also constructing documentation using Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

Expect 50% of time engaging with staff members on the shop floor gathering information (process steps, relevant photos, safety requirements and other parameters) to develop new and modify existing procedures

Expect 50% of time spent at a PC constructing procedures using Microsoft applications

Any downtime from procedure development could be spent assisting with process or project engineering tasks

Perform other duties as required

Required

Currently working on completion of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field

Must be available to work full-time on-site beginning on June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from multi-functional teams

Ability to work with mathematical concepts

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Suite applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.)

Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and be willing to wear personal protective equipment based on process and food safety requirements
