Entry Level Independent Contractor: Environmental and Property Condition Due Diligence
CEG Assessments is seeking motivated, self-directed professionals to join their Independent Contractor Due Diligence Program. This project-based role involves conducting inspections and assessments related to environmental and property conditions in commercial real estate, offering flexibility and autonomy to the contractors.
Responsibilities
Complete on-site inspections of commercial and industrial properties to identify environmental concerns and property deficiencies
Collect field notes, photographs, and inspection data
Support Phase I ESA and PCA site observations under ASTM standards
Support technical report development through accurate documentation
Travel to assigned properties to complete inspections, observations, and documentation
Walk through buildings and sites, photograph conditions, and follow inspection checklists
Upload and organize field notes and photos from your home office
Take on more complex sites and higher-paying work as experience grows
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, Construction Management, or related field
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Comfortable working independently
Willingness to travel nationwide (up to ~75% during peak periods)
Stand or walk (for most of an 8-hour workday and up to 3 to 4 continuous hours at one time)
Climb steps
Climb ladders onto flat roofs
Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to read equipment data plates
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
