Responsibilities

Provides support and leadership in planning, coordinating and executing comprehensive reviews of foreign parties to licensed and unlicensed transactions involving items subject to Export Administration Regulation (EAR)

Monitors and evaluates all-source intelligence regarding entities and technologies involved in export transactions

Performs research and analysis to ensure export transactions are compliant with the EAR, the Chemical Weapons Convention, and related laws and regulations

Provides timely and objective assessments to agencies responsible for approving licensing decisions on critical U.S. produced dual-use items; produces reports, briefings and communication to Bureau senior leaders and interagency partners and others

This position requires a TOP SECRET/SCI CLEARANCE: Any required investigations and clearances must be completed before the selectee can be placed in the position

To qualify at the GS-14 level: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service

Specialized experience is defined as: Providing advice in U.S export control regulations to perform investigations, monitoring, evaluating or compliance work; and Performing research to analyze and interpret licensing data; and Composing a variety of reports to present export control issues to senior officials; and Collaborating with interagency offices on export control and enforcement efforts
