Responsibilities
Lead discrete matters within larger class or arbitration portfolios, managing deadlines, filings, and case progression independently
Draft and argue substantive motions with supervision; contribute to discovery strategy and deposition preparation
Interface directly with clients, co-counsel, and defense counsel, with professionalism and clarity
Oversee small teams of junior attorneys or analysts to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across filings
Shape case strategy by identifying emerging trends in the law and contributing creative legal theories in evolving areas like data privacy and technology-driven consumer claims
Collaborate cross-functionally with legal ops and tech teams to streamline workflows and leverage LK’s proprietary litigation systems
Drive quality and accountability: maintain sub-5% revision rates and ensure deadlines are consistently met
Qualification
Required
J.D. from an accredited law school; admitted and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
5–7 years of litigation experience (plaintiff-side, defense, or regulatory), ideally plaintiff including consumer, privacy, or arbitration matters
Proven ability to manage matters independently from initial investigation through motion practice and discovery
Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills with minimal need for substantive revision
Confidence in oral advocacy — capable of arguing motions or managing depositions under limited supervision
Strong organizational discipline and comfort managing multiple active dockets simultaneously
Ability to mentor junior attorneys and staff, setting standards of precision and judgment
Comfort working with or adapting to tech-enabled litigation systems
Preferred
Familiarity with e-discovery, automation tools, or data analytics is a plus
