Responsibilities
Develop complete estimates for assigned opportunities
Create schedules to ensure timely completion of estimates
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits
Review construction plans and specifications to determine scope
Develop means and methods tailored to site conditions
Perform quantity takeoffs and direct Estimating Engineers for support
Solicit and review vendor/subcontractor quotes; ensure compliance
Prepare detailed work breakdown structures including labor, equipment, and materials
Present and review estimates with senior management
Submit finalized estimates by required deadlines
Qualification
Required
6-8 years of experience as an estimator with increasing responsibility
8-10 years in field construction operations
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Strong understanding of construction means and methods
Strong communication and presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Preferred
Degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred
Familiarity with estimating software (B2W preferred; training provided)
Knowledge of Bluebeam, Agtek, Primavera, and advanced Excel skills preferred
