Responsibilities
Prepare business and individual income tax returns under the supervision of senior team members
Support accounting engagements, including general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations
Perform basic tax and accounting research, and draft clear workpapers and documentation
Participate in client meetings, assisting with data gathering, analysis, and follow-up
Collaborate with senior staff to identify process improvements and help implement best practices
Actively pursue CPA certification – the firm provides exam fee reimbursement and paid study support
Grow professionally through mentorship, training, and exposure to diverse industries and clients
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 2 years of experience with a small to mid-size public accounting firm, with an emphasis on tax preparation (internships count)
Strong attention to detail
Analytical ability
Willingness to learn
Solid understanding of tax fundamentals
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication skills
Collaborative mindset
Motivated self-starter comfortable handling a wide range of responsibilities
Preferred
CPA eligibility preferred
Familiarity with accounting/tax software (QuickBooks, Lacerte, or similar a plus)
