Senior Analyst, Safety, Health and Environment

The Senior Analyst, Safety, Health and Environment will support site-level deployment of SHE management practices to ensure compliance with legal requirements and SCJ global standards, while collaborating with various teams to manage risk exposures.

Responsibilities
Maintains SHE compliance assurance processes, including self-assessments and compliance calendars, to enable compliance with applicable laws, permit authorizations, company standards, and supports training processes to ensure that required safety, health and environmental training is defined, addresses required content and is tracked to completion
Collaborates with the site’s engineering and maintenance teams to ensure that inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance activities associated with SHE-critical equipment are defined and appropriately documented
Supports managers and supervisors in effective production floor implementation of SCJ’s safety, health and environmental standards and collaborates with assigned stakeholders to drive timely, effective closure of identified SHE-related corrective and preventive actions
Ensures compliance with activities related to waste management, water management and other environmental projects and manages data collection and reporting to support compliance with environmental permits and authorizations
Champions the investigation of safety incidents and ensures that corrective and preventive actions that address root causes are effectively deployed across the site
Overseas leading and lagging safety metrics programs include auditing, Gemba’s feedback collection and follow-up, and analyzing injury and incident data to understand patterns and trends, identifies and proposes practical solutions to mitigate risk
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Fire Protection, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
2+ years of SHE technical responsibility in a manufacturing organization
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship for full-time employment
Preferred
Experience in driving day-to-day ownership of SHE processes
Strong knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulations
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Effective verbal and written communication skills to clearly and concisely present information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Ability to effectively interact with others, establishing open, candid and trusting relationships to create win/win outcomes
Project management experience to enable prioritization and management of multiple projects to completion
