Principal Project Manager Engineer

Responsibilities
Leading and managing 2–3 complex product development projects from initiation through launch
Ensuring projects align with approved project charters, internal processes, and customer expectations
Providing strong leadership to cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
Driving a diverse and inclusive workplace, recognizing and valuing individual differences and perspectives
Identifying, engaging, and managing internal and external stakeholders
Establishing and maintaining regular communication cadences to ensure transparency and alignment
Managing project capital, operating expenses, and resource allocations
Ensuring adherence to project budgets and achievement of financial targets
Supporting economic and financial analyses, including alternatives evaluation, variance analysis, and cost calculations
Developing, monitoring, and controlling comprehensive project risk management plans
Executing integrated change management and control processes to manage scope, cost, and schedule changes
Developing detailed project schedules, resource plans, and budget forecasts
Tracking, monitoring, and reporting project progress, timelines, and product costs
Leading management-level project reviews and providing regular status updates
Proactively identifying and resolving project issues and impediments
Driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing new project components, tools, and processes
Collaborating with cross-functional teams (CFTs) to support problem-solving and brainstorming activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering
15–18 years of total professional experience
Minimum of 8 years of project management experience in industrial product or hardware development
Proven experience managing distributed and multicultural teams
In-depth knowledge of Toll Gate / Stage Gate product development processes
Strong expertise in project management methodologies and execution
Demonstrated leadership in team management, performance management, mentoring, and talent development
Extensive experience in stakeholder and requirements management
Exposure to manufacturing processes such as molding, stamping, and plating
Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate at all organizational levels globally
Strong background in project planning, execution, and risk management
Proven ability to collaborate across functions and drive results
Ability to develop and manage communication plans and RACI matrices
Proficiency in Microsoft Project and MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience conducting project ROI analysis (NPV, IRR, Payback Period)
PMP or equivalent project management certification
Preferred
Exposure to regulatory approval processes (UL, CSA, CQC, VDE, etc.)
Experience in the terminal and connector industry or related product domains
Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies
