Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain virtualized application packages for mission baseline applications

Support application delivery across VDI environments and thick clients

Virtualize applications with plugins and advanced graphics requirements

Partner with application testers and mission SMEs to validate functionality and performance

Enhance application sequencing processes and incorporate required changes

Identify and persist critical user settings (registry, AppData, etc.) in non-persistent VDI environments

Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline application sequencing

Collaborate with virtualization and VDI teams on application delivery infrastructure

Improve backup, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations

Create and maintain technical artifacts, including:

Detailed designs

Test plans and test cases

Implementation and operational guides

Training documentation

Work independently while exercising sound technical judgment and ownership

Troubleshoot and tune VMware software-defined data center environments

Analyze, test, and apply security patches and software updates

Resolve incidents and fulfill software requests

Provide training and mentorship to team members

Support additional mission needs as assigned

Required

ACTIVE TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in Systems Administration or Virtualization (Additional experience, education, or certifications may be substituted)

DoD 8140.01M IAT Level II certification

3+ years of experience with VDI technologies such as: VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Microsoft Remote Desktop Services

2+ years of experience with application virtualization technologies: Citrix XenApp, Microsoft App-V, FlexApp, App Volumes, or similar solutions

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent time management and organizational skills

A proactive mindset and strong desire to learn and grow
