Start in 2026 SpringCN is a premium railroad committed to safety and service, seeking interns to support the Locomotive Reliability team. The Intern, Mechanical will collaborate with various teams to drive projects, analyze locomotive reliability, and contribute to key performance indicators (KPIs).

Responsibilities
Perform analysis on locomotive reliability and repair billing initiatives
Assist in identifying, developing, and initiating improvement activities
Support the creation and implementation of locomotive automated alerts
Assist with development of KPIs on reliability performance
Provide assistance in documenting, identifying, and analyzing failure patterns
Launch surveys to conduct root cause analysis
Qualification
Required
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Notes
Knowledge of reporting software such as Tableau and SmartSheet
Knowledge of coding and application development
Communicates with impact
Autonomous and project ownership
Knowledge of Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) and ARIBA
Recent Graduate or working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
Preferred
Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset
