Responsibilities
The individual in this position is responsible for assessing these applications and making recommendations regarding their approval or denial to both the Regional Program Manager and the Environmental Engineer Manager, based on a thorough review process
Additionally, the employee prepares the necessary documentation for Plan Approval and Operating Permit authorizations, along with other relevant correspondence
It is important to note that, in accordance with licensure requirements, this position operates under the supervision of a licensed engineer within the Air Quality Program at the Southwest Regional Office
Should the position be filled by an Environmental Engineering Trainee, the individual will engage in a structured one-year on-the-job training program designed to equip them with the skills and knowledge required for the specialist role
Qualification
Required
One year of engineering experience, and possession of a valid Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or
A bachelor's degree in the field of engineering
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree
This position will require possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license
You must meet the PA residency requirement
