Responsibilities

Creating designs, models, and drawings for mechanical parts and tooling
Rapid prototyping using FDM 3D printing
Performing mechanical analysis for part strength, heat dissipation, and damage/failure analyses
Frequent communication with technical, program, and other functional teams therefore excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are essential to succeeding in this role

Required

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering degree from an ABET accredited school
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering degree from an ABET accredited school with 2 years of relevant experience; 0 years of experience with Master's
Knowledge and experience creating drawings and models in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX or similar CAD software
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools – PowerPoint, Word, Excel
Must be a US citizen and currently hold or be able to maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance
Frequent communication with technical, program, and other functional teams therefore excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are essential to succeeding in this role

Preferred

Knowledge and experience with CAE (computer aided engineering) analysis software
Knowledge and experience with industry and military specifications
Knowledge and experience with 3D printing and CNC Machining
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
