Extrusion Technician

Pipeline Plastics, LLC is seeking an Extrusion Technician responsible for performing and maintaining daily activities associated with a production line. The role includes ensuring safety, quality, and production efficiencies while performing maintenance and repairs as needed.

Responsibilities

Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain a safe working record and environment

Completion of shift production and reporting paperwork

Immediately communicate unsafe conditions, acts or injuries to Production Supervisor

Meet quality specifications for all products produced

Preform Preventive Maintenance on all equipment as needed

Troubleshoot process and mechanical problems and perform repairs and adjustments to meet production needs as required

Practice proper forklift operation and preventive maintenance

Maintain ability to operate various production lines and processes effectively

Maintain facility housekeeping

Adhere to PLP product sampling schedule

Maintain and build job skills through company training programs

Meet or exceed standard production efficiencies on all production lines

Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, certification requirements

Perform tooling changeovers in an efficient manner

Requires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor

Ability to repeatedly lift 75 pounds to a height of 6 feet

Must be able to perform repetitive motion, such as: walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, gripping, and standing

Ability to stand and be mobile for a minimum of 12 continuous hours

Ability to work in temperature extremes

Clarity of vision and the ability to focus on a fast repetitious operation

Preferred

High school diploma or equivalent, desired

Previous manufacturing machine operation or extrusion experience
