Associate Scientist, Molecular Biology
Early is Good (EIG) is developing non-invasive, multiomic based tests to improve the accuracy and accessibility of cancer detection. They are hiring an Associate Scientist with hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques to support their research and development efforts. The role involves performing molecular biology techniques, documenting experiments, and collaborating with teams to drive technology towards clinical success.

Responsibilities
Perform routine and advanced molecular biology techniques, including RNA extraction, DNA extraction, master mix preparation, PCR plate setup, amplification, and NGS library preparation
Document experiments with accurate, complete, and compliant laboratory records that meet internal and regulatory standards
Prepare data summaries and contribute to experiment review discussions
Maintain laboratory inventory, ensure correct reagent storage, and support ordering of supplies
Collaborate with scientists and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot workflows and support ongoing research projects
Follow all safety, quality assurance, and Good Laboratory Practices policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Science, Biochemistry, Genetics, or a related field with at least four years of industry laboratory experience
Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline with at least two years of industry laboratory experience
Hands-on experience with RNA and DNA extraction, PCR setup, and standard molecular biology workflows
Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in team environments
Excellent documentation habits and attention to detail
Authorization to work in the United States on a full time basis
Preferred
Experience working in regulated lab environments such as CLIA or GLP
