Administrator in Training- Long Term Care

Pomeroy Living is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Administrator in Training (AIT) to join their long-term care facility team. The AIT will learn all aspects of managing a skilled nursing facility while assisting the facility administrator in overseeing operations and ensuring high-quality care for residents.

Responsibilities

Assist the facility administrator in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring high-quality care and services are delivered to residents
Collaborate with department heads to ensure efficient staffing, operations, and compliance with state and federal regulations
Participate in financial planning and budget management, including monitoring facility expenses and ensuring fiscal responsibility
Learn about staffing, employee relations, and human resources management, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations
Contribute to strategic planning for facility growth, improvement initiatives, and resident satisfaction
Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care and service in the facility
Support the facility’s regulatory compliance with licensing requirements, inspections, and audits
Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities to elevate service standards
Work closely with residents, families, and staff to maintain a positive and supportive environment

Required

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
Must be willing to complete the AIT program and obtain licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator within the designated timeframe
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Compassionate, ethical, and dedicated to improving the lives of elderly residents

Preferred

Experience in healthcare or long-term care setting
Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to long-term care
