Responsibilities
Be a go-to cross-functional legal partner for product, engineering, research, and design
Provide full product life-cycle counseling, from ideation and development to launch and operation
Identify and keep ahead of the evolving regulatory landscape by translating uncertainty into practical guidance
Be (or become) an expert on a range of issues including intellectual property, privacy, data protection, security, social media, and advertising
Develop and implement scaled legal processes to accelerate the company’s growth
Qualification
Required
JD and in good standing with an active US state bar membership
At least 8+ years of experience, with substantial in-house experience preferred
Strong business acumen and ability to partner with business and technical teams
Strong understanding of privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) and intellectual property law
An ability to communicate clearly with business and technical audiences
Hands-on attitude to tackle projects large and small, low-ego approach to working across the organization
Positive collaborative attitude, comfort with change and a fast pace, high level of integrity, and intellectual curiosity
Applicants must be eligible to work in the US
This role requires working on site in our Los Angeles office
