Lead Performance Analyst

HM Revenue & Customs is seeking to fill the role of Lead Performance Analyst in their Enterprise Live Services division. The successful candidate will manage a small team, ensuring effective processes for quarterly planning and alignment while driving continuous improvement and governance initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead the Strategy & Quarterly Alignment and Planning function in ELS, ensuring processes are embedded and effective
Provide informative, timely, and accurate oversight for Quarterly Alignment, Planning and Objective/Key Results performance
Develop and embed appropriate governance, assurance and controls
Manage and develop the team
Collaborate with senior stakeholders
Support transformation projects, business cases, and assurance activities
Develop and maintain capability
Deputise for the Head of ELS Assurance as required
Drive continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with ITIL service support principles and best practices
Ensure and maintain alignment to CDIO and HMRC Strategic outcomes and objectives by representing ELS across the whole strategic lifecycle in Quarterly Planning and Alignment work
Lead on continued oversight and reporting of improvement initiatives and projects across ELS and ensure these align to Quarterly Planning and Alignment ways of working

Required

Significant experience in Objective setting, Agile delivery methodologies and Quarterly Alignment and Planning within a large, complex organization
Proven ability to lead teams, managing with internal and external customers
Strong line management and strategic development experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels
Extensive knowledge of ITIL service support principles (minimum Foundation level at ITIL V4)
Experience in performance measurement, reporting, and process improvement
Ability to collate and convert technical and operational data into business-focused information for stakeholders
Experience of leading improvement initiatives and organisational change in a federated environment
Commitment to maintaining high industry support standards and delivering efficient, effective services

Preferred

Experience with Power BI, Service Now, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office
Understanding of benefit realisation methodologies
Analytical, numerical, and presentation skills
A qualification in Business Administration, Strategy Management, or related field
