Responsibilities

Assist in developing engineering scopes with project leads

Perform load calculations and interpret results using industry-standard software

Select mechanical equipment based on project needs and calculated criteria

Produce HVAC layouts and documentation, including ductwork and piping design

Coordinate mechanical requirements with other design disciplines

Create plumbing system documents, including sizing and routing

Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and regulations

Support evaluations of system alternatives and conduct basic cost/energy comparisons

Participate in site visits and prepare field observations

Maintain communication with project teams, clients, and internal stakeholders

Utilize Revit® or similar software for design support

Provide technical input to design staff as needed
