Responsibilities

Supervises and develops GIS Section staff. Establishes performance expectations, assigns and reviews work, and provides coaching and mentoring

Ensures consistent service delivery, manages workload distribution, and supports professional development, cross-training, and a collaborative team culture aligned with OIT goals

Manages GIS operations and service delivery. Oversees the daily operation of the Districts ArcGIS Enterprise environment in coordination with other OIT teams

Ensures reliability and performance of GIS services, applies standard publishing and metadata practices, and monitors service trends and support needs

Leads GIS governance, data standards, and quality assurance. Establishes and maintains enterprise GIS standards, governance practices, and supporting documentation

Oversees updates to authoritative GIS Library datasets, ensures metadata accuracy, and aligns data maintenance with District program needs

Identifies and implements opportunities for automation and workflow improvement

Coordinates GIS projects, resources, and procurement. Develops scopes, work plans, and technical specifications for GIS projects and contracts

Manages resource allocation, vendor deliverables, budgets, procurement actions, and project documentation within the Districts project management system
