Responsibilities

Develop and Improve Systems for Automating Liquid Handling, lead the development and implementation of innovative solutions for automating liquid handling, covering system integration, programming, and robotics
Ensure successful installation, development and integration of liquid handling automation systems such as Tecan and Hamilton instruments with existing infrastructure
Plan and conduct thorough systems testing and solve technical issues
Work closely with Technical Operations, Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to align automation initiatives with strategic goals
Analyze current processes to find opportunities for automation to improve performance and increase efficiency
Work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing priorities and role responsibilities
Stay updated with the latest advancements in automation technology and apply them to improve our systems
Debug failures off the line, perform root-cause analysis, and update product designs as required
Complete process engineering changes in OCPLM and update documentation and SOPs as needed

Required

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Automation, or Manufacturing Engineering
5+ years of automation experience in a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of engineering change control processes such as Agile and OCPLM
Familiarity with mechanical design tools such as SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD
Solid statistical analysis skills and ability to perform Design of Experiments (DOE) using JMP software
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to drive and complete Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCMs)
Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills, with a proactive and involved approach

Preferred

Prior background in a biotech setting preferred
Expertise in programming and integration solutions with liquid handling systems preferred
