Responsibilities
Receives and reviews paperwork for purchases and sales of precious metals from client and/or precious metal broker/dealer
Processes requests for purchases and sales of precious metals in operating system and communicates with precious metal broker/dealer and/or depository
Processes and prepares in-kind distributions (physical possession of asset) for clients which entails working with the depositories on shipping of the precious metals
Prepares various document packets related to precious metal transactions, etc
Reconciles with depository and ensure records are accurate
Conducts research
The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned
Qualification
Required
High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 7 to 11 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to utilize common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature
Intermediate: Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing
Basic: 10-Key, Accounting, Alphanumeric Data Entry, Database
Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals
Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Must be able to perform in a fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks and function as an integral part of a team
Must be detail oriented and able to solve problems
Must have the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Must have the ability to work with mathematical concepts that relate to precious metal transactions
Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
Must have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variable in standardized situations
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Internet, e-mail and a working knowledge of accounting software
