The Senior User Support Analyst will perform analytical and technical work in the planning, design, and installation of personal computer systems, providing second and third level user support and coordinating hardware and software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision, performs analytical, technical and administrative work in the planning, design and installation of new and existing personal computer systems

Under general direction, provides second/third level end user PC support

Interacts with various levels of IT staff and others outside of IT to restore service and/or identify and correct problems

Coordinates configuration/installation and general troubleshooting of PC hardware and software

Implements hardware and software testing

Directs end user training and documentation

Provides remote PC support and troubleshooting

Provides Assistance and Directions to fellow IT Groups

Provide mentoring to junior staff

Provides status reports, problem summaries, and project status as required

Works on moderately complex applications

Confers with end users to determine types of hardware and software required

Writes programs to fulfill requirements or selects appropriate off-the-shelf software and modifies to suit
