Responsibilities
Verify equipment descriptions
Gather and verify equipment inventory information
Identify and record equipment components, accessories and asset details
Ensure the quality of equipment data and other related information
Verify requirements for warranty applicable items
Compose and take photos and videos of the equipment
Promote a culture where the health and safety of our employees and customers is top priority for all
Perform other duties as assigned
Coordinate with the collections team to recover assets in default scenarios
Manage the resale or redeployment of repossessed equipment to maximize value and mitigate loss
Develop and maintain residual value metrics with various vendors across industry sectors and asset classes
Conduct foreclosure sales
100% travel
Qualification
Required
High School graduate or equivalent
Experience using computers, and able to learn to use new technology and software
Maintain a valid, clean driver's license
Work both indoors and outdoors year-round and climb on and off large equipment and trucks
Prior experience in equipment management (inspections, inventory and appraisals) and/or inventory control management, preferably in the auction or heavy equipment business
Knowledge of industrial and/or agricultural equipment, trucks and trailers
Excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy
Solid interpersonal skills
Strong time management and prioritization skills
A commitment to providing fantastic customer service by being friendly and patient
Able to work well and maintain a positive attitude in high-pressure situations
Overnight travel could be up to 60% at times
Sensitive to confidential information
Must work independently and as a member of team
Able to read, speak and write English
Ability to use computer software programs to achieve job functions
Strong physical and mental health to maintain demanding workload
Able to work under stressful conditions at times
Communication – verbal and written communication, personnel and vendors
Dependability, reliability, fulfilling responsibilities
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions
Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions
Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed
Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers
Preferred
Mechanic experience preferred
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
