Regional Sales Manager

Wieland is a global leader in copper and copper alloy manufacturing, processing, and distribution. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for strategic account management and related sales activities within the specified geographic region, focusing on generating new leads for core products and specialty products while maintaining strong customer relations.

Responsibilities

Provide sales coverage and strategic account management for the defined Territory. Enhance and maintain strong customer relations of existing area accounts through personal visitation and regular communication
Identify and pursue new sales leads for core Wieland Chase products and emerging specialty brass products to include Eco Brass Rod, Eco Brass / Eco Bronze Ingot, Eco Bronze bushing, bearing and forged components
Provide regular, timely and concise customer reports on customer activity and updates for our Alloy Forecast System
Work closely with inside sales, quality and supply chain contacts, support customer relationships and to provide a high level of service and responsiveness
Monitor pricing competitiveness, establish and execute supply contracts, maintain oversight of customer scrap return percentages and current credit
Provide both strategic and tactical insight and recommendations to Wieland Chase management with the goal of increasing sales and profitability for the organization

Required

Must be willing to provide extensive travel within the sales region, which includes some overnight stays, evening entertainment and be willing to participate in various tradeshows and sponsored events
Works independently and proficient in solving various customer and work-related issues
Must have leadership with proven and tangible organization and time management skills
Requires the ability to effectively cold call and solicit new business through independent research, phone calling and personal visits
Possess the ability to negotiate pricing, agreements and other tangible and non-tangible sales tools required to meet value and service proposition of the company
Must possess a valid and on-encroached driver's license with the ability to obtain a US Passport

Preferred

BS/BA preferred or equivalent experience
Knowledge of copper-based metals or related metal or technical processes preferred
