Interventional Pulmonology APP or PA

The University of South Florida is seeking an APRN or PA for a full-time position in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. The role involves providing Interventional Pulmonary services, teaching, and academic advising while coordinating patient care with referring providers.

Higher Education

Responsibilities

Provides Interventional Pulmonary Services at USF, TGH and/or other affiliated hospitals and clinics
To facilitate easier and faster access of patients identified by the EON software package who screen positive for incidental findings and may require pulmonary biopsy and/ or follow up care
Assist and coordinate patient care with referring provider, outpatient follow up and recommendations based on findings
Education of patients and family regarding diagnosis, findings, and follow-up
Provides Interventional Pulmonary services at USF outpatient Clinics (and TGH) and/or other affiliated hospitals and clinics
Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate higher-level administrator of a State university
Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities
Responsible for academic advising and related activities
May represent the university, college/school, or department
Performs other duties as assigned

Advanced Practice Registered NursePhysician AssistantCertification in FloridaMaster's DegreeTeachingResearchPatient Care Coordination

Required

Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties
Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor
This position requires graduation from an accredited Advanced Practice Registered Nurse academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 464 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant academic degree program and certification as outlined in Florida Statutes 458 and 459 and Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 64
