Start in 2026 SummerDewberry is a leading professional services firm seeking a Structural (Bridge) Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 to join their Fairfax, VA and Baltimore, MD offices. The successful candidate will design bridges and transportation-related structures while gaining hands-on project experience and developing technical skills.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be part of a team designing simple and complex bridges (primarily of steel and concrete construction), and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, culverts, sign structures, and other ancillary structures)
The candidate will also be exposed to the development of contract plans, the preparation of engineer's estimates and construction specifications, and performing construction support services
Qualification
Required
Pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering (with emphasis in Structural Engineering) is required
Good verbal and written communication skills
Desire to work in a team environment
At this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization
Preferred
Previous internship experience preferred
Experience using CADD (Microstation or AutoCAD preferred)
