They are seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to join their Cortex backend engineering group, responsible for developing and maintaining the backend of Cortex products while collaborating with cross-functional teams to innovate and scale the Cortex Platform.

Responsibilities

End-to-end backend development of features and core components across their entire life cycle (design, develop, test, deploy, maintain)

Collaborate with peers across different teams and disciplines to shape solutions and integrate with other parts of the product

Work with customers and provide solutions to their day-to-day work and challenges

Contribute to team-wide efforts - code reviews, design reviews, technical and architectural decisions

Required

M.S/B.S degree in Computer Science or equivalent and 2+ years of software engineering experience, preferably development of a scalable server-side application

Strong programming skills, preferably in Python / Go

Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL

Team player, and good communication skills to work with cross-functional groups

Experience in building and maintaining high scale server-side applications

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Google Cloud Platform / AWS / Azure)

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infra
