Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger in accordance with GAAP and banking industry standards

Perform monthly account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data

Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Support both internal and external audit processes through documentation and timely responses

Contribute to regulatory reporting efforts, including filings with FDIC and state banking agencies

Analyze and explain financial variances, providing clear insights to management

Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and banking regulations

Participate in month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate results

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, verify, and analyze financial information

Participate in process improvement initiatives and system implementations as needed
