New Grad, Entry LevelLove Justice International (LJI) is a Christian nonprofit dedicated to fighting the world’s greatest injustices, particularly anti-human trafficking. The Data Science Volunteer will develop predictive models and perform quantitative analyses to support LJI’s mission, contributing to impactful anti-trafficking operations and educational programs for vulnerable children.

Responsibilities
Develop and refine statistical and machine learning models to better understand patterns in trafficking risk, victim vulnerability, and program outcomes
Conduct data analysis and visualization to generate actionable insights for anti-trafficking operations and for programs supporting children in family homes and schools in Nepal
Collaborate with data engineers and field teams to ensure data quality, interpretability, and consistency across systems
Design and document analytical workflows and reproducible research processes for ongoing impact evaluation
Contribute to the continuous improvement of LJI’s data systems by identifying gaps, proposing metrics, and helping to standardize analytical methods
Qualification
Required
A strong commitment to social justice and advocacy on behalf of vulnerable populations
Highly self-motivated with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in data science, or mathematics, or statistics, economics, or a related field (graduate students welcome)
Proficiency in R or Python, and relevant data science tools (e.g., pandas, tidyverse, scikit-learn, ggplot2, etc)
Preferred
Prior experience in data analytics, statistical modeling, or machine learning preferred
