Program Director- Substance Abuse Use Services (Women & Children)

Community Alternatives Inc is seeking a licensed, Master’s-level clinician to serve as Program Director for a grant-funded substance use treatment program serving women and their children. This role provides clinical oversight, staff supervision, quality assurance, compliance monitoring, and program leadership in accordance with state regulations and evidence-based best practices.

Responsibilities

Oversee admissions, discharges, assessments, and treatment planning
Lead implementation of evidence-based and trauma-informed practices
Provide individual, group, and family therapy
Ensure services meet grant deliverables, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements
Participate in crisis intervention and complex case consultation
Provide clinical supervision to licensed and unlicensed staff
Develop and implement staff supervision plans
Facilitate regular clinical staffing meetings
Model ethical and population-specific best practices
Monitor program performance and service delivery outcomes
Participate in Quality Improvement (QI) activities
Ensure compliance with state rules, client rights, documentation standards, and reporting timelines
Investigate and respond to client or staff concerns
Prepare and submit Monthly Program Reports
Prepare and submit Quarterly Quality Improvement Reports
Prepare and submit Quarterly State Reports
Prepare and submit Annual Program Evaluations
Prepare and submit Annual and Bi-Annual Grant Reports
Maintain accurate documentation, correspondence, and mileage reports
Coordinate with DSS, justice system partners, schools, healthcare providers, and community-based organizations
Ensure continuity of care, referrals, and warm handoffs at discharge
Provide 24/7 on-call availability (in-person or virtual) for consultation with program leadership and staff

Required

Master's degree in a clinical or behavioral health field
Active North Carolina licensure in Substance Use Counseling
Minimum of five (5) years of clinical supervision experience
Demonstrated experience in substance use treatment programming
Working knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices
Current NC driver's license
