Circle Square Cultural Center and Town Square Manager

Colen Built Family of Companies is seeking a Circle Square Cultural Center and Town Square Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing the strategy and execution of all entertainment and events at the Cultural Center and Town Square, focusing on maintaining a high-quality calendar of events and ensuring operational readiness.

Responsibilities

Researches, recommends, and collaborates with the Cultural Center Director to determine the most desirable lineup, targeting specific demographics within budgetary guidelines
Makes recommendations to the Cultural Center General Manager on performer contract offers, including production riders, and ensures all mutually agreed-upon contracts are authorized and signed
Serves as the primary point of contact for booking agents and performers to coordinate all logistical, production, and technical requirements
Coordinates with the Cultural Center Director on all financial aspects (performer fees, ticket sales, related general operations) and provides reports for event revenue/expenses to the Cultural Center General Manager
Responsible for the successful, start-to-finish execution of all shows, meetings, and events, including final wrap-up details, and providing on-site management for all scheduled events
Organizes and manages the technical production of events, including A/V, lighting, sound, room setup, catering coordination, and scheduling outside technical vendors/subcontractors
Collaborates with the Cultural Center General Manager to attract third-party bookings for Cypress and Live Oak Halls, the Town Square, and the Cultural Center buildings
Oversees ticket sales for events and is responsible for appropriate staffing during designated hours for sales, events, and facility operations
Directly supervises assigned employees, including interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, counseling, and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
Coordinates with all company departments (and other community facilities) as needed for event requirements and existing resident events
Must maintain schedule flexibility in keeping with entertainment venue requirements, to include nights, weekends, late hours, and early mornings
Performs all duties in adherence to OTOW standards, strives to maintain a safe working environment, and maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors, and co-workers

Required

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in event planning, venue management, or the entertainment industry for a similar type and size organization required
Minimum of 3+ years of experience managing a diverse range of personnel and activities required
Experience running and troubleshooting current audio/visual equipment required
Extensive technical operating knowledge of audiovisual systems (sound, lighting, various presentation types) is required, including proven experience with current A/V equipment
Excellent proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite required
Working knowledge of online event ticket systems or the ability to learn quickly
Familiarity with accounts payable processes and software
Proven ability to organize, prioritize, schedule, and multitask in a highly systematized and detailed manner
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
Strong project management capabilities and ability to analyze situations and identify solutions
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization
High level of integrity, honesty, and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-oriented
Team builder, team player, self-motivated, and possessing a strong work ethic and emotional intelligence
Willingness to continuously improve skills, handle feedback constructively, and take on different roles or responsibilities
