Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of the Project Quality Plan (PQP) in alignment with USACE and DOTD standards
Oversee quality control and assurance activities across all phases of construction, including site development, wharves, and ramps
Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, specifications, and contract requirements
Conduct regular inspections, audits, and reviews of construction activities and documentation
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions
Serve as the liaison with third-party inspectors, regulatory agencies, and client representatives
Mentor and train project staff on quality procedures and continuous improvement practices
Promote a culture of “doing it right the first time” across all project teams

Qualification

Licensed Professional EngineerConstruction quality managementUSACE standards knowledgeQuality management systemsLeadership in quality programsHeavy civil construction experienceCommunication skillsProblem-solving skills

Required

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Louisiana – active and in good standing
Minimum 10 years of experience in construction quality management, preferably on large-scale civil infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of USACE standards, DOTD inspection protocols, and NEPA compliance
Proven leadership in managing quality programs for complex construction projects
Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in quality management systems and software tools
Experience with dam embankment, marine terminal, or heavy civil construction projects
Familiarity with federal permitting processes and environmental review procedures
Prior work with similar large-scale infrastructure contractors
Regular, reliable attendance
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required
May work at various different locations and conditions may vary
