The Hydraulic Repair Technician will be responsible for disassembling, testing, and repairing hydraulic components, ensuring quality standards are met through various tasks and equipment operations.

Responsibilities
Dismantles and cleans all types of hydraulic components
Performs repair on all types of components using a variety of hand tools
Operates various shop equipment including lapping machine, drill press, lathe, honing machine, etc
Utilizes prints to ensure correct assembly that meets quality standards
Orders necessary parts to complete the rebuild
Handles paperwork to requisition parts, return parts to stock and may create work orders for outside vendors for chroming, etc
Inspects completed units and certifies that they are to Joy standards. Completes electronic reports and other quality documents
Operates and maintains test stands and other test equipment
Paints, packs and ships hydraulic components and completes necessary paperwork
Properly handles all waste materials
Performs other assignments at the direction of departmental supervision
Obeys all safety rules and performs housekeeping functions
Prepares and processes paperwork
Basic computer operations to start and complete daily tasks
Qualification
Required
Use basic math
Perform metric conversions
Read assembly drawings
Read machine drawings
Read hydraulic circuit prints
Read piping diagrams
Use tape measure
Use micrometer
Use calipers
Use dial indicators
Use depth mics
Use feeler gauge
Use pressure gauge
Use flow gauge
Use temperature gauge
Safety training (Haz-Com, Lock Out / Tag Out, PPE, MSDS, Housekeeping, Lifting, Electrical)
Knowledgeable of ISO
Use presses
Able to do some welding
Proper operation of fork trucks
Use test stands
Use porta-power
Use honing machine
Operate parts washer
Operate paint booth
