Manager Child Care and Development Subsidy

Responsibilities

Provides consultation to staff as needed
Researches, directs and implements program activities according to applicable rules, regulations and guidelines
Develops and updates policies and procedures for program operations according to applicable rules, regulations and guidelines
Provides reports as required
Reviews program budget and expenditures to ensure compliance
Coordinates activities with appropriate personnel and agencies
Attends meetings as required
Maintains files and records as required
Oversees program paperwork, enrollment, billings and cash flow as required
Conducts internal quality control checks to assure licensing and funding compliance
Provides orientation and training to employees as needed
Other duties may be assigned
Manages up to 6 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 54 employees in the assigned area
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Required

Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university in Child Development/Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Family Consumer Science or related field
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field may be acceptable for certain areas
An additional three (3) years of experience in a related field including supervision/management
Knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating
Employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA); or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report; or listed on the GSA's List of Excluded Providers; or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)
Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care
