Channell is a global designer, manufacturer, and seller of outside plant infrastructure equipment. The Inventory Clerk is responsible for electronically identifying, verifying, and transacting all products produced by various departments, as well as investigating and correcting discrepancies in inventory records.

Responsibilities

Reconcile daily production and materials movements to contribute to 98% or greater inventory accuracy

Serve as the shop floor key user of ERP and other inventory and production systems

Perform inventory cycle counts daily and report data to the material control department before the end of the shift

Performing quality checks on stored inventory and discarding inventory that does not meet the company’s standards

Maintaining and updating records

Prepare reports on price lists, inventory balance, and shortages

Researching the accuracy of product details and testing new products

Other tasks as assigned

Required

Must have a valid driver's license

Have at least one year of experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production facility

Have at least one year of forklift experience and forklift certification

Must be able to speak, read/comprehend and write in English

Ability to lift to 50 pounds

Capacity to work overtime as needed

Excellent computer skills with the aptitude to learn complex ERP and other systems (Oracle)

Excellent communication skills

Knowledgeable in manufacturing bills of materials and packaging specifications

Must be a team player and take direction well

Good vision (this can be accomplished with corrective lenses), central and peripheral vision in both eyes to detect objects or movement in the field of view
