Responsibilities

Performs tool qualifications

Aids in the development of plastic processing project instructions to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem, and possible solutions such as part redesign, substitution of materials or pats, or rearrangement of parts or subassemblies

Devises and recommends new or modified components of plastic injection molding machinery

Conducts tests such as process window studies and design of experiments of plastic injection molding processes to investigate proposals for improving equipment performance or other factors, or obtain data for development, standardization, and quality control

Analyzes indicated and calculated test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives and modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specification

Records test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in process, product, or test method

Identifies and records any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system

Any other duties as assigned
