Service Technician

Ed Voyles Automotive Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Skilled Service Technician to join their Main Shop in Birmingham. This role focuses on diagnosing and repairing a wide range of automotive systems while maintaining efficiency and accuracy in a high-volume dealership environment.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, and HVAC
Perform warranty, recall, and customer-pay repairs efficiently and accurately
Complete repairs in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards
Utilize diagnostic equipment and service information systems
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and management regarding repair status

Qualification

Automotive service technicianDiagnostic skillsASE certificationsTroubleshooting skillsTeam-oriented mindset

Required

Proven experience as an automotive service technician
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Ability to flag hours efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Dependable, professional, and team-oriented mindset

Preferred

ASE certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)
