The OSR is responsible for driving lumber and building material sales by developing and maintaining strong relationships with contractors and builders, focusing on account growth and providing consultative support to customers.

Responsibilities

Driving lumber and building material sales by developing and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, builders, remodelers, and roofers

Focusing on prospecting, job site visits, account growth, and providing consultative support to customers, including product selection, new product updates, market trends, pricing, and delivery coordination

Preparing bids, completing take-offs and estimates as needed, and inputting orders

Assisting with accounts receivable collections and collaborating closely with store and operations teams to ensure excellent service and follow-through

Required

Proven experience in outside sales, account management, or relationship-based selling

Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Self-motivated, organized, and effective at managing time in a field-based role

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

Willingness to travel locally approximately 80% of the time

Must have valid driver's license and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)

High school diploma required

Preferred

Experience in hardware, home improvement, construction, or building materials strongly preferred

Experience preparing take-offs, estimates, and bids preferred

Bachelor's degree is a plus
