Responsibilities

Resolve wireless network connectivity issues and track outage reports
Identify and remove rogue access points (APs) as instructed by base NCCs
Manage heat maps and update APs and floor plans in the Airwave Management System
Administer BITI Wireless assets, coordinating with asset managers for hardware/software support
Provide Tier 3 support for BITI Wireless users, managing configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting
Lead network changes and troubleshooting efforts for fixed wired infrastructure
Address issues related to Layer 1, 2, and 3 connectivity, Active Directory, and DHCP configuration
Coordinate with OEM network engineers to resolve operational issues and suggest corrective actions
Conduct compliance inspections like CORA (CCRI), Scope Edge, and NETLAW as required
Provision new and relocated APs, ensuring network connectivity is established
Create and maintain documentation for wireless network configuration and management processes
Assist with emergency network restoration and provide remote site support as needed
Maintain a detailed database of provisioned access points and controllers
Act as a liaison between the BITI Program Office and Network Operations Security Centers (NOSCs)

Required

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Networking, or a related field
Minimum of 6 years of experience, preferably on Department of Defense (DoD) programs
Three (3) years of experience managing Juniper & Pulse Secure Network Access Controllers (NAC)
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaborative skills
Information Assurance (IA) Technician (IAT) Level II (DODM 8140)
Valid DoD Secret clearance is required
Eligibility requirements to access sensitive information, which requires US citizenship

Preferred

Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) or equivalent, with experience in Routers, Switches, and Network Fabric
Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA) or Certified Wireless Network Associate (CWNA)
Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP)
Aruba Certified ClearPass Associate (ACCA)
Aruba Certified ClearPass Professional (ACCP)
