Responsibilities
Prepares or reviews foreign, federal, state, and local tax returns including property tax returns, sales/use tax returns, and federal, state, and municipal returns, extensions, and quarterly payments
Prepares tax provision schedules by reviewing, preparing, and consolidating provision schedules
Recommend tax strategies by researching federal, state, and local taxation issues
Maintains and updates legislative materials by reviewing, interpreting, and implementing new or revised laws
Maintains compliance with regulations by forwarding required information to federal, state, and local authorities
Maintains tax balance in general ledger
Assists with internal/external audits
Identifies tax saving opportunities and process/technology improvements
Responds to notices and correspondence received from tax authorities
This position may require travel up to 10%
This is a hybrid position
This job will require reviewing the work of others
This position reports to the Tax Manager
This position may have 1 or more direct reports
Qualification
Required
This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 5 to 7 years of position-related experience; preferably 7 to 9 years of position-related experience
Experience with tax research software is required
Preferred
Experience with One Source Income Tax Software is strongly preferred
Corporate Tax experience and/or Public Accounting experience preferred
