Electrical Controls Engineer

Horizon Performance Technologies LLC is an OEM engaged in the design and manufacturing of industrial capital equipment in the heat processing industry. They are currently seeking a Full-time Electrical Controls Engineer to design and develop control systems, create engineering documentation, and manage projects from conception through completion.

Responsibilities

Design and develop control systems for automated processes and machinery
Create detailed engineering specifications and documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and maintenance
Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
Troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Manage control system projects from conception through completion

Required

Design and develop control systems for automated processes and machinery
Create detailed engineering specifications and documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and maintenance
Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
Troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Manage control system projects from conception through completion
Experience with industry-specific control systems and software
Understanding of electrical schematics and control panel designs
Proficiency in PLC programming and HMI/SCADA configuration
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical software for system design and layout
Familiarity with regulatory compliance and standard industry practices
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in controls engineering
Strong knowledge of automation and control systems
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Willingness to travel and work on-site as needed

Preferred

Engineering or Technical degree a plus, but not required
