Executive Director, Network & Communication Services
Wellstar Health System is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of every person they serve. The Executive Director will lead teams delivering network services and unified communications, establish operational procedures, and manage significant capital and operational expenditures while ensuring high-quality IT infrastructure and service integration.
Responsibilities
Leads teams that deliver network services, capacity planning, unified communications planning and engineering, operational support, application technical platforms supporting infrastructure planning and business continuity and disaster recovery services
Develops near-term tactical plans and a strategic, longer-range roadmap to increase automation, improve efficiency and service quality, and reduce the overall cost of ownership
Establishes measurable goals, objectives and operating procedures for Enterprise IT
Supports the strategic business plans, applications, and all related matters for network, unified communications, and operations information technology for departments and facilities
Manages customer deliverables and expectations as they relate to day-to-day support and operations
Design, implement, and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure
Provides an architectural framework for information system development, maintenance, and enhancement efforts
Understands user and process requirements and ensures those requirements can be achieved through high-quality deliverables
Works closely with all technical departments and engineers to develop road maps for network services, align development plans, and ensure effective integration among information systems and the IT infrastructure
Monitors technological advancements to ensure that solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards as well as emerging business requirements
Understands the interactions between systems, applications, and services within the environment, and evaluates the impact of changes or additions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree of Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is required
Minimum 15 years in information technology, including a minimum of 8 years of experience in a management role is required
Experience with Security, Networks and Telecom is required
Experience implementing complex and integrated information systems is required
Technical foundation is required
Excellent Project Management skills including practical usage of Microsoft Project, knowledge of advanced Network, Telecommunication, and Security Operations, Virtual Application delivery (including operating systems, utilities, Microsoft Office Products, etc.)
Strong communication, presentation and customer relation skills
Must have the ability to influence others to work collaboratively to achieve results
Able to understand and relate to the interdependencies/impact of Information Systems on the operation of the WellStar Health System
Preferred
MBA or advanced degree is preferred
Minimum 5 years in healthcare is strongly preferred
