Responsibilities
Support Mainframe (System z) Storage projects with varying degrees of complexity – includes system design, build, development, implementation, maintenance, operations, and client support across infrastructure and software
Assist and help train junior analysts – includes guiding and providing technical peer reviews
Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results
Qualification
Required
Experienced MF Storage administrator with 5-10 years' of experience
Ability to work under minimal supervision from more seasoned consultants or managers – includes support of senior personnel and project managers on technical projects
Ability to work on complex problems where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors
Strong technical documentation writing skills
Experience with Hitachi Vantara DASD synchronous and asynchronous replication
Experience with IBM TAPE GRID configurations
Experience with Broadcom (Brocade) FICON directors and channel extension
Involved with implementation of new MF Storage technologies
In-depth knowledge of Client/SRS, Client, DFHSM, ICKDSF, CA1, User Catalogs, ABARS, TDMF, and DFDSS
Self-starter and able to work without hands-on supervision
Proficient with SAS, VISIO, MS Office, and REXX
Project management skills
Assembler, CLIST, and REXX knowledge
Conceptual understanding of Mainframe Operation
