Responsibilities
Oversee all estimating operations for complex electrical projects ranging from $20M–$300M+ in electrical scope
Develop and implement estimating standards, workflows, and best practices across the preconstruction department
Partner with executive leadership, operations, and business development to evaluate opportunities and build winning bid strategies
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of estimators at all levels
Review, approve, and present final estimates, budgets, and proposals to senior leadership
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
Drive continuous improvement in accuracy, efficiency, and competitiveness
Support conceptual budgeting, design‑assist, and design‑build pursuits
Ensure all estimates align with company goals, risk tolerance, and margin expectations
Qualification
Required
10+ years of electrical estimating experience, including leadership responsibility
Proven success estimating large commercial, mission‑critical data center, or industrial electrical projects
Deep understanding of electrical systems, constructability, labor factors, and market pricing
Expertise in Accubid (required) and strong proficiency with related preconstruction tools
Ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive strategic decision‑making
Strong communication skills with the confidence to present to executives and clients
High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset
