This leader will oversee all core accounting functions, ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and guide the organization through audits and regulatory requirements tied to government-funded programs.

Responsibilities
Lead the organization’s accounting operations, including general ledger oversight, month‑end close, and financial statement preparation
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and all applicable healthcare regulatory requirements
Oversee financial reporting for government‑funded programs, including preparation of supporting schedules and program‑specific filings
Manage annual external audits and any required program or grant‑related audits
Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and documentation
Partner with cross‑functional teams (Operations, HR, IT, Finance, Clinical) to ensure data accuracy and alignment across systems
Provide financial insights and analysis to senior leadership to support planning, budgeting, and strategic initiatives
Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing accounting team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement
Drive process optimization, automation, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and data integrity
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA strongly preferred
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership of accounting teams
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
Experience in a regulated healthcare environment (managed care, health services, insurance, or government‑funded programs) is highly valued
Proven ability to manage audits, complex reporting requirements, and multi‑entity structures
Advanced proficiency in Excel and modern accounting/ERP systems
Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across financial and non‑financial teams
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and operate in a fast‑paced environment
